I grew up in a small town - still working on losing the accent but never want to lose the values! I've been married to my best friend and soul mate since 2006. We were blessed with our daughter, Kate, on St. Patrick's Day 2010. Being a wife and mom are the most rewarding, challenging roles I have, and I wouldn't trade them for the world!
I'm more creative than organized, a reformed procrastinator, and somewhat of a perfectionist. I was called to be a teacher, taught elementary gifted students for five years and absolutely loved it... then chose to return to school to work on a Ph.D. in gifted education, while working part-time for a grant program, teaching undergrads, and being home part-time with my sweet Kate.
My life is not perfect but richly blessed! God's grace and forgiveness give me access to true joy and peace in all circumstances. I wholeheartedly believe in His providence, and I eagerly anticipate what the future holds in His hands. My main goals, of which I am constantly falling short and trying to improve upon, are to love and serve Him more each day, and to love and serve others in His name.
